2022 has not been kind to yours truly and I’m anxious for it to be over. I do however want to wish you all a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year!

December is when I usually look back at the happenings during the year here on Stout Standards, sharing links to the more popular  posts and generally sizing up the good with the bad. I’ve decided to not do that this time around. 2022 has been a difficult year and I’m just anxious for it to be over.

When the Word Bullshit is Necessary!

I want to revisit a topic that I discussed a few years ago and the reason is because it’s one that still annoys the living hell out of me. It’s the constant whining of two irritating,  joined at the hip, wannabe archaeologists  – Paul Barford (often referred to as Warsaw Wally) and Nigel Swift (usually referred to as Heritage Harry). My take on this is probably not going to sit well with a few of you but here goes…

I have no doubt that I’m known as that cranky old dude who constantly talks about the good ole days and who repeats himself over and over. Well you know what? I accept that label and will wear it proudly. I mean if I don’t speak my mind NOW and repeat it often you will never wise up?
