Salute!

This is New Years eve, a time to celebrate and I’m hoping that you do it in the comfort of your home. Don’t take the chance, stay in, stay safe, stay alive and have one for me. Cheers!!

2020 – The Year That Wasn’t!

Hard looking back at 2020, it was such a dismal year on so many fronts.  Let’s all cross our fingers that 2021 will be the year we became whole again.

As I’ve done every year I looked back at what I’ve written for the past twelve months and I can’t believe I was able to once again baffle you with BS.  Just an innate talent I guess. In any event pour a double, here’s a LONG synopsis of Stout Standards 2020.

Thank you all for following along in 2020 and for being so patient and tolerant with this old beeper! Continue reading

The “ho, ho, ho” and the “merry” modes have thus far eluded me and there aren’t that many days left to find them. Continue reading

It’s Throwback Thursday Time!

A recent Detecting Diva post titled “The Dishonest Detectorist”  reminded me of one that I did back in April of 2016 and please, it’s just the opinion of an old beeper…. Continue reading

Do You Have UMOs?

I’m frequently amused and sometimes dumbfounded when I see finds shared and analyzed on social media. Finds that I used to throw away or store in a box labeled junk. Today apparently they’re all relics worthy of more scrutiny/appraisal and comments like “fantastic find” or “sweet save” (that’s hip tekkie talk😜). Continue reading

8 Years and 873 Posts Later…

With hospital beds in short supply, infections rising and holiday surges about to make things worse, my detecting (limited as it is) is on hold. And please, don’t bother to share your views or conspiracy theories on why Covid 19 is a hoax. I’m not at all interested in arguing or debating the subject. Continue reading
