Saved by Social Media?
Writer’s Block or Brain Dead?
Writing this blog has become somewhat therapeutic in that it gives me a place to vent (bet you didn’t know that) but I’ve somehow gotten to the point where I start feeling guilty if too many days go by without posting and that is something I need to deal with and get over. Q & A with Nigel Ingram
I first met Nigel Ingram in 1988 when I was the director of marketing for Garrett Electronics. We were looking for a new distributor in the UK and scheduled a lengthy trip there to meet with the various candidates. I can’t remember exactly where Nigel was in the sequence but after meeting him I knew he and Regton, Ltd. were the perfect fit. It was a great choice in that he’s still Garrett’s UK distributor almost 30 years later (every once in a while I do get something right). Continue reading →

Gaudy: adjective – Extravagantly bright or showy, typically so as to be tasteless.
Yup, that’s us! Glittery, ostentatious, presumptuous and boastful. That of course comes from someone who started in the hobby back in the 70’s when it was hard to be noticed by anyone. Little did we know how good we had it. Continue reading →
