Having been real busy with moving into our new/used home, I’ve been out of touch with a lot of what has been going on within the metal detecting community and industry. Then again, I have been out of touch with a lot of things of late. Just ask my wife.

It has been quite some time since I’ve heard from Richard Ray.  Emails and messages went unanswered, and I became a little concerned. Yesterday I found out that Richard passed away January 16.

It’s the Cabernet Speaking…

It’s Wednesday night, and I am now on my fourth glass of Cabernet, and take no responsibility for what I am about to write…

I’m positive that I am now in a time warp, another era, and I am not sure I can get back or adapt. I’m still reeling from the tornado, working hard to make a new house a home, and treasure hunting as I know it, or perhaps it’s “as I used to know it”, is suddenly foreign to me.

Just got an email from Dan Sivilich, an old friend from the Garden State, and it read as follows…

Hi Dick,

I hope all is well.  I am finally published.  See the attached.  Just got my copy and Oklahoma did a great job.  Real high quality work. Maybe now people will stop identifying mashed/chewed lead shot as being associated with a field hospital like on “Diggers”.  THEY WERE CHEWED BY PIGS!

Been Busy…

I know I have been AWOL, delinquent, missing in action and I apologize. Just tied up buying another home, or should I say house, because honestly a house is not a home until there are memories there, and given the circumstances, that will take a while.
